How to Watch Netflix’s Most Popular TV Shows/Movies from Outside US

Many people around the world have started seeing Netflix as one of their favorite entertainment options. They regularly pay their subscriptions and don't even have to go to the theater if they want to watch the newest movies.
TV shows and series are also included in the package, and this method of watching is perfect for catching up on your favorite show on weekends if you're too busy during the week, or on rainy, cold days when you simply don't feel like doing anything.
Now, let's say that you're traveling somewhere outside of the US, and you'll have a lot of time that you'll be spending in a hotel room, or somewhere else where you'll have an Internet connection and nothing else to do.
Netflix would be the perfect way to kill some time. Unfortunately, you'll no longer have access to US Netflix content, or you may not even be able to access Netflix at all. Isn't that a scary thought?
The reason for this is the IP address that you're using, which changes in order to "inform" Netflix and other internet services of the region you're in, and what can and can't be done in that region.
It's all connected to complicated rights, and licenses, but the bottom line is - only the US citizens can watch the US Netflix. Many other countries have access to Netflix as well, but they only have their versions and packages, and some of them don't have access at all.
Still, there's no reason to worry about it, since there's a way to bypass these restrictions, and all you need to do this is to start using VPNs.

What Are VPNs?

VPNs are Virtual Private Networks, that are used for several reasons, and that are becoming more and more popular. They're being used for masking IP addresses, encrypting your data flow, protecting your device from hacking and malware, and more.
Basically, they're private networks that can be used in order to protect your privacy, location and to give you complete anonymity on the web. There are many different VPNs that you can use to do so, but the one we're going to recommend is TorGuard.

Using VPN To Bypass Geo-Blocking

As we already said, Netflix can detect your location and region by checking out and analyzing your IP address. Your address is assigned to your ISP (Internet Service Provider), and it can be used to determine a lot of details about you.
Still, this shouldn't be a problem if you use a VPN since VPNs are designed to mask your address and give up false information to anyone who tries to find them.
VPNs have servers in many different cities, and in many different countries around the world. When you connect to a VPN, you can choose which server you wish to use. When you choose one, you start surfing the internet through it, and it gives you a new IP address that'll tell Netflix and other IP checkers that you're from that region where the server is.
As you can imagine, this is pretty useful when it comes to situations like the one we described earlier. If you find yourself somewhere else in the world, and you can't access the US content, all you have to do is connect to a server located in the USA, and you'll have free access to all of the things that you'd be able to access from your own home in the US.
You can also use it to secure your internet connection, and protect your data flow that's being sent through a tunnel that's protecting it from the prying eyes of hackers, ISP, and even your country's government.

How To Set It Up

Setting up the VPN is really easy, and won't pose much of a problem. All you have to do is decide which VPN you want to use, for example, TorGuard, go to its website, sign up and download the app.
Once you've done this, log into the app, choose the server that you'd like to be connected to, and that's it.
Keep in mind that TorGuard (here's a good TorGuard Review) is the ONLY VPN we recommend since they let you purchase dedicated IPs to avoid blockage.
Netflix can be a great source of fun and entertainment, and it'd be a shame if you ended up locked out of it just because you went on a vacation and got trapped in your room because of the rainy day.
Here's the list of movies and TV series that we suggest you watch if you find yourself in such a situation:
